It's Over, Isn't It? (steven Universe)

Chords
pin

#A brilliant song by Rebecca Sugar sung by the character Pearl
#in the cartoon, Steven Universe. I had a lot of fun figuring out
#the chords.. if you need help feel free to e-mail me at
#[email protected] (: Enjoy!!

#This website doesn't include the tabs for the Am/G# Am/G or C/A fingering,
#so I will post them below; starting from the asterisked *Cmaj7 at "Why
#can't I move on?" it's just a bass walk down on the C chord and then a
#bass walk down on the A chord

Why Can't I move on.... War and Glory.......

              Cmaj7 C7 C/A Am Am/G# Am/G

          A|-----2------1------0------0------0------0------|
          E|-----0------0------0------0------0------0------|
          C|-----0------0------0------0------0------0------|

Intro:

G7

Verse:

       Cmaj7 Dm7 Cmaj7 G7 Cmaj7

I was fine with the men who would come into her life, now and again

        Dm7 D7 F G7 Cmaj7 C7

I was fine cuz I knew that they didn’t really matter until you

    Cmaj7 Dm7 Cmaj7 G7 Cmaj7

I was fine when you came and we fought like it was all some silly game

      Dm7 D7

Over her, who she’d choose

        F G7 Cmaj7

After all those years, I never thought I’d lose

Chorus:

     Cmaj7 C7 F G7

It’s over, isn’t it? Isn’t it? Isn’t it over?

     Cmaj7 C7 A7

It’s over, isn’t it? Isn’t it? Isn’t it over?

   F Fm

You won, and she chose you

        Em A7

And she loved you, and she’s gone

     Dm7 G7 *Cmaj7 C7 C/A

It’s over, isn’t it? Why can’t I move on?

Bridge:

Am Am/G# Am/G F#dim

War and glory, reinvention

F Am E7 E

Fusion, freedom, her attention

Am Am/G# Am/G F#dim

Out in daylight, my potential

F Am E7 E

Bold, precise, experimental

    Am Am/G# Am/G F#dim

Who am I now in this world without her

F Am E7 E

Petty and dull with the nerve to doubt her

Am Am/G# Am/G F#dim

What does it matter? It’s already done

     F G7

Now I’ve got to be there for her son

Chorus:

     Cmaj7 C7 F G7

It’s over, isn’t it? Isn’t it? Isn’t it over?

    Cmaj7 C7 A7

It’s over, isn’t it? Isn’t it? Isn’t it over?

    F Fm

You won, and she chose you

      Em A7

And she loved you, and she’s gone

Outro:

       Dm7 G7 Cmaj7 C7 C/A

It’s over, isn’t it? Why can’t I move on?

     Dm7 Fm Cmaj7

It’s over, isn’t it? Why can’t I move on?

the bridge works if you play-- Am, E7, C, D, Dm, Am, F#dim, E7 on repeat instead of whats written there.

I guess it will sound better if we put Am E7 C F#dim in the bridge (?)

It really isn't that bad but "E' is just difficult to play as a note. Are there any alternatives??
