Axis of Awesome

Posted 3 Mar, 2022

The more we play our ukulele the more we should start noticing certain patterns in music. Most all popular music follows very similar chord progressions, including the progression of I-V-vi-IV. This chord progression is quite possibly the most well-known and used order of chords ever. A popular Australian comedy group known as the Axis of Awesome regularly features songs with this same progression. Below is a list of songs for the ukulele that all use the chord progression above, either in the verse, chorus, or throughout the whole song! (They may use different keys, but they all have examples of I-V-vi-V).
