 Di-rect is a Dutch alternative rock band formed in October 1999 in The Hague, The Netherlands. The band consists of singer Marcel Veenendaal, guitarist Frans van Zoest, drummer Jamie Westland, pianist <span title="Unknown artist" class="bbcode_unknown">Vince van Reeken</span> and bassplayer Bas van Wageningen.   The band started in 1999 when 15 year old Jamie Westland (drums) asked his father Dick to help him set up a band.
