José Montserrate Feliciano García (born September 10, 1945 in Lares, Puerto Rico) is a singer and guitarist, who has been successful in both Spanish and English music. A victim of congenital glaucoma, he was left permanently blind at birth. His latest album is Six String Lady, which is instrumental, and is available from his personal website.

José Feliciano (* 10. September 1945 in Lares, Puerto Rico) ist ein puerto-ricanischer Sänger.  Aufgrund eines erblich bedingten grünen Stars ist er seit seiner Geburt blind. Im Alter von fünf Jahren zogen er und seine Familie nach Harlem, New York City. Mit neun Jahren spielte er im Teatro Puerto Rico. Er konnte bereits verschiedene Instrumente spielen, darunter Akkordeon, interessierte sich dann aber für die Gitarre. Um ungestört zu sein, schloss er sich manchmal 14 Stunden am Tag in sein Zimmer ein und hörte Rockmusik der 50er Jahre.

Inició su carrera como músico del llamado Flamenco Pop. Pronto destacó y la RCA lo contrató y tras grabar un single que tuvo muy buena acogida: Everybody Do The Click, se lanzaron a crear el que sería su primer trabajo.
